Hello!

My Name is Cassandra and I am the owner of Cassandra Derosa Photography. I am a wife and mother to three beautiful children, who are the reason I got started in photography.

I got my first camera for Christmas the year that my oldest was born nearly ten years ago, and my passion for newborn & family photography bloomed as I continued to have children and photograph them growing.

I absolutely love photographing the journey of motherhood, starting in pregnancy. I know from personal experience how quickly that these moments pass, and being able to provide my clients with beautiful memories and keepsakes from such an important milestone in their lives makes me feel so much joy.

Newborn photography is my art & creative outlet. It's my favourite way to add value to peoples lives, and provide them with a service that they will cherish forever. These photos of your children at their littlest are something that you are going to want to look back on and share for years to come, and I am so lucky that I am able to provide these tangible memories for you as my full time job.

Experience

Working with young children, especially newborns, takes care and understanding. I have been photographing newborns for 6 years now, and I have invested many hours in learning the safety of posing and handling newborns, as well as how to picture them in comfortable and beautiful positions. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident during your session as I handle your precious baby. I have studied newborn behaviour, and the mechanics of their brand new bodies, in addition to having three babies of my own, so you can feel safe and reassured the entire time.

I have accumulated many hours, and continue to take new photography, workshops and editing classes consistently to keep my knowledge of the industry and my practices safe, consistent, current and high quality.

I am a licensed and insured business and have protections in place for your safety in my studio as well as my own. If I am not the photographer for you, please make sure that you are choosing a photographer that places safety above "getting the shot", and has a great understanding of newborn babies and their physiology.
